Media Tailor is a Finnish media tech company. They provide end-to-end solutions for the whole content supply chain. Their services are based on digital platforms providing high technical standards, beautiful user experience and efficient automation.
Sanoma Media Finland is the leading media house in Finland. Almost 100% of Finnish people spend time with Sanoma’s print and digital media every week. Nelonen Media is a part of Sanoma Media Finland and a leading broadcasting group focusing on TV and radio.
Media Tailor, TV Tools and SPX co-developed a completely new graphics solution for Nelonen Media that fits into advanced workflows for their national broadcast channels Nelonen, Jim, Liv and Hero. The Graphics Hub product automates data traffic between the scheduling and playout systems.
SPX Graphics was chosen and integrated as a part of the Graphics Hub solution. The use of SPX’s HTML templates enables high quality, automated, data-driven channel branding graphics. New elements can be developed and added to the process easily as needed.
The comprehensive graphics package included, for instance, now-next-later, cross promotion and sponsorship placeholders. All elements are fully automated but can also be controlled manually with SPX if needed. In addition, SPX enabled the presentation of social media messages during live broadcasts.
As a part of the project, a new Keno (lottery gaming show owned by Finnish Lottery Company Veikkaus) game show was also introduced, which SPX offers to Sanoma in cooperation with Media Tailor. The graphics solution was implemented in the beginning of July 2021 and it has been running successfully 24/7 since then.
“SPX allows us to develop our playout offering in areas which have proved difficult with the previous graphics system. This has increased our value in the production chain.” Markus Paul, Media Tailor
