SPX Cloud released

SPX Graphics is now also available as a SaaS subscription. Welcome SPX Cloud!

SPX Graphics, a provider of HTML-based graphics software and services for broadcast, live events and streaming announced a new live graphics SaaS at spxcloud.app.

SPX Cloud enables live graphics production as a cloud service, making it easy to integrate with on-premise and virtual production platforms while still giving users a complete control over their SPX instance including custom graphics, plugins or other assets used in the production.

New SPX Cloud instances can be created on the SPX Cloud website and each new instance starts with a free test session, giving users 45 minutes unlimited access to integrate and test the setup in their production pipeline before committing to a paid subscription.

Users have an sFTP access to their cloud instance for managing file based assets, such as custom graphic templates, fonts or other assets from client's existing installations or products from the HTML Graphics Marketplace.

LiveU Studio integrates with SPX Cloud

SPX Cloud is now integrated with LiveU Studio, a fully cloud-native video production solution within LiveU's IP-video EcoSystem. LiveU Studio offers a streamlined toolset for live storytelling, including fully synchronized video switching, instant replay, audio mixing, ISO recording, dynamic ad insertion and simultanous distribution to up to 30 digital platforms. With SPX Graphics now available also in the cloud as SPX Cloud, it enables an easy and seamless graphics integration, all controlled from a single user interface.

SPX Graphics’ control interface can be embedded into LiveU Studio as a dashboard, allowing users to preview and control graphics playout directly within the same workspace.

“We are pursuing a wider and open HTML graphics ecosystem and this new integration with LiveU is a schoolbook example of just that!” says Atte Varsta, CEO of SPX Graphics.

Matt Zajicek, Senior Director, Product Management LiveU, is also excited by the possibilities and potential of this integration: “With numerous broadcasters already utilizing both LiveU Studio for production and SPX for graphics, a tighter integration was no-brainer for both.”

They both see value in open standards and the growing worldwide HTML-graphics community. Matt Zajicek: “Co-operation with SPX enables our customers to access a wider community of designers and graphics developers. It gives live producers access to a rich graphics suite, from right within the LiveU Studio interface. Professional grade graphics can be quickly previewed and loaded for air from within the LiveU virtual control room.”

Atte Varsta: “An open ecosystem will increase creative input and eventually it shows in increasing production value.”

LiveU Studio is a core element of LiveU's Lightweight Sports Production solution.

Producer’s perspective

Jay Kliger, Executive Producer at SMEC, has successfully used LiveU Studio and SPX Graphics in live SuperMoto’s cloud productions. By merging live data, real-time leaderboards, and tailored data integration in a cloud environment, he has been extremely pleased with the overall experience: “non-existing setup time and easy operation is always an upside during a fast pace racing event. Additionally since we are using SPX and LiveU in the cloud it smashes any onsite logistical barriers and increases our team resources who can run the show remotely! The speedy support from both LiveU and SPX has improved my quality of life!"
